The story was set in 'after death' world, where there was a capital which judges the dead people's activity in the living days called Jyuu Oh Cho (Ten King Agency). Among them, Emma Cho Shokan Ka (Summoning Department of the King Yama Agency) was the department where our hero death gods, Tsuzuki Akito & Kurosaki Hisoka, were working for. Our heroes were to inspect the affair about the death and dead people, they were the public servants of the world after death.

Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness) is a shoujo manga by Matsushita Youko. It is a horror/comedy/mystery about bishounen shinigami investigators trying to find out the reasons for the violent deaths of a number of people. The perpetrator of the murders in the first episode is a Chinese actress who is a vampire and also died a couple of months before.
